Dear students,Thank you for your interest in Al-Fikr Academy. As we have developed this foundation from scratch, we are excited to begin this journey and we hope you are as passionate and as enthusiastic about learning this new language as we are eager to teach it.
The Arabic language is the doorway to the journey of learning about a new culture and gaining knowledge about the Islamic religion.
This foundation is very dear to our hearts as we have started it with the mission to enlighten non-Arabic speakers on the Arabic language and middle eastern culture.
While growing up in the heart of the Middle East, in one of the most ancient cities in the world, Damascus city, we learned the most basic to the most complicated milestones of the Arabic language.
I have completed my civil engineering degree at The University of Damascus, then acquired an ESL (English as a second language) teaching certificate from Algonquin College in Canada as well as received an ASL (Arabic as a second language) teaching certificate following sitting the International Proficiency Test for teaching the Arabic language at Attanal Al-Arabi.
We have developed the curriculum based on our 20+ years of experience in the teaching field and based on our participation in curriculum design for different courses including Arabic language, English language, and mathematics. The curriculum that we have developed for this Academy fulfills the requirement of students’ skills to improve in the four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Following the pandemic, the world has witnessed, students around the world were not able to attend classes and have suffered from remote learning due to reduced communication with their instructors. We have improved this learning curriculum by following under this difficult situation with integrated teaching aids and efficient resources, as well as weekly meetings with the teachers to ensure proper learning and enhance teaching methodology. Our instructors are highly qualified with long careers in the Arabic language teaching both native as well as non-native speakers.
Al-Fikr academy strives to offer students a quality education with the highest academic standards. To achieve our goals, the school continuously engages highly qualified teachers and regularly supports them with quality training and professional development.
