About the Arabic language and its advantages
It is neither fanaticism nor victory for it; It is the best to be fanatical about, and dearer to be victorious for. But it is just the tip of the iceberg with which I wanted to establish and record a set of things and present some of the advantages of a language that has always captivated the minds, enchanted the eyes, and delighted the ears.
1- Arabic as a Language
It is what Ismail bin Ibrahim, peace be upon them, and his contemporaries spoke in the Arabian Peninsula, and thus it is deeply rooted in history. It was said that it is the tongue of Ya`rub bin Qahtan and Yemen before them. It was said that it is the tongue of Adam, peace be upon him, and his sons, and that Ismail, peace be upon him, was inspired by it. And no matter how different the news is in its age, they agree on the age of its appearance and use. It is a Semitic language from a Semitic way related to Sam bin Noah, peace be upon him. Its alphabet consists of twenty-eight fixed letters, meaning that each letter has a fixed pronunciation.
2- Arabic Language sciences
Muslims took the Arabic language very carefully. They set the rules for it and refined them, they did not change them, but only to prevent it from getting lost, especially with the expansion of the range of non-speakers who did not know the language and its system. Then first it was the grammar that was to root the structure of sentences and an entrance to the expression. Then Rhetoric to root and research the structure of speech and understand how to reach the intended meaning. Prosody to discuss weights and rhymes in poetry according to what the Arabs were endowed with. The derivation to understand how a word comes out of another word, or formula from another formula that may lead to the same meaning or add to it an increase that leads to a deeper and more accurate understanding. The morphology or morphological balance; It is a large chapter in grammar whose purpose is to study the composition of the word and its conditions by studying its weight, the number of its letters and its accents, what is changed in it, and what is fixed and how this helps to understand the intended meaning. Then comes the art of parsing to clarify the purpose of the speech, by which the correct pronunciation of the word is known in a specific context, and by which the subject and the object are known. Parsing is the rules of the language itself and it is necessary to understand it. Then there is the science of synonyms, which is a science that emphasizes the richness of Arabic, and studies what differs in pronunciation and structure and informs the same meaning or adds to it an accurate description.
3- The richness الغنى
Perhaps the enormity of its lexicon is due to a large number of synonyms, as well as to the strength of the derivation in it. For example, if a lion reigned, it was “Haidara”, and if he conquered, it was called “Qasura”, and if he had strength and boldness, it was “Behhas”, and if he became strong and mighty, he became “Dirbas”, and if he became strong and intensified, it was “Uthama”, and if he became heavy, he became “Erbada”. . His wife is a “Labwa” and it was said, “a Laboaa” and his sons are “Shibl,” “Gerou,” “Shia,” “Hafs” and “Farhad.” It is true that he has more than four hundred names. It is a matter of beauty in it..4- The Perfection الكمالThe language structure and characteristics are fixed, and they haven’t changed throw time. As an example, if you take something from the pre-Islamic or post-Islamic heritage, you will understand it despite your collision with some terms that may be of little use today, besides, we can understand the Noble Book “Quran” that was revealed 1400 years ago to the prophet Mohammad peace be upon him. The speech is still the same and the sentences are still compounded in the same format and expressed in the same way. On the other hand, if you try to read a book written four hundred years ago in French or English, you will not be able to understand it even if you use a dictionary. The language in those days was very different from the language of our days, which is considered developed, and if it was complete and fulfilling, it would not have evolved and differed. Therefore, trustfully, we can say that Arabic is complete and eloquent.
5- Balaghah البلاغة
The Arabic term Balāghah covers rhetoric, eloquence, and Faṣāḥa, or purity and perfection of language. It means the ability to convey the meaning to the recipient, verbally or in writing. Since its pre-Islamic usage, it has never lost its inclusiveness of manner and matter, clarity. Rhetoric is one of the reasons that might explain why the Holy Quran was revealed in Arabic. As an example: To translate one word in the Quran أنُـلْزِمُـكُـموها”, you need seven words in English to translate this word “Shall we compel you to accept it” It is said that That is one reason of why The Holy Quran was revealed In Arabic.
